Langley House offers the
highest standards in comfort and freedom you would expect,
combined with a very personal and professional care 24 hours
a day.
Langley House is conveniently situated in a quiet residential
area, within easy reach of the M25, A12 and A127 and only
a few minutes walk to local amenities.
Our aim is to provide a homely yet protected
environment in which our residents will be encouraged to
follow as independent a life as their own personal capabilities
allow.
We offer 18 single and 1 double bedrooms. All rooms are
furnished and individually decorated to the very highest
standards. If residents wish, they may add their own personal
touches, such as pictures or ornaments to make their stay
as homely as they wish.
All rooms have hot and cold running water and vanity units.
To ensure total care and safety all rooms are fitted with
a Nurse Call system.
There are three lounges, 2 for viewing television and one for listening to music and entertainmentwith comfortable and
attractive furnishings, one overlooking our large landscaped
garden, thus providing the residents and guests with the
opportunity to enjoy a quiet environment for reading and
conversation.
The spacious and tastefully decorated dining room is situated
on the ground floor where a good variety of nutritious
home cooking is served. Special diets and personal tastes
are catered for. Early morning tea is served in the bedrooms. Breakfast
and all main
meals are usually served in the dining room.
Tea and coffee are served
at all times. Our staff offer a friendly atmosphere and will assist
any of the residents who wish to participate in any interest
or activity such as theatre/cinema visits, cooking, knitting,
flower arranging, dancing, visiting, entertainment, gardening,
poetry reading and regular visits to interesting places.
We also help and encourage residents to pursue hobbies
in and out
of the home. Residents are invited to attend a church service and every
effort will be made to facilitate contact with local churches. A hairdresser visits Langley House on a regular basis
to attend to residents’ needs. Dentist, optician,
chiropodist will also be available for private treatment.
