Practice
To achieve these objectives
a high level of nursing care is provided
day and night by fully qualified
and experienced nursing staff. The
staff have been selected for their
efficiency, kindness, understanding
and ability to make the patients’ stay
a happy one.
Comfortable accommodation is available in single or double bedrooms with
en-suite facilities for convalescent, post operative, chronic sick and
elderly patients on a short or long term basis.

Pastoral Care
At Fernbrook House Pastoral Care is provided by regular
visits from the clergy of both local churches and various religious
groups. The object of these visits is to cater for the spiritual
needs of the residents, and in particular those who are terminally
ill. Frequent ‘in-house’communion services for those who wish to attend.

Travel Information
By Train
From Liverpool Street station to Southern Victoria, then by bus
or by taxi approximately one an a half miles.
From Fenchurch Street to Southend east Station is only 10-15
minutes walk.
By Bus
From Southend town centre ask for the stop before the ‘White
Horse’
public house.
By Road
Take the A13 or A127 into Southend town centre then follow
the A13 towards Shoeburyness along Southchurch Road, turn
right into either Oakleigh Avenue or Brighton Avenue.
